Chalchalero’s March from Argentina to Israel

One of the most remarkable equestrian journeys began in 2001 when Eduardo Discoli set off to ride his Criollo, Chalchalero from Argentina, through the Americas, across Europe, and on to Morocco.

The journey began in Argentina in 2001. It reached Mexico in 2003 and crossed the USA in 2004. After flying across the Atlantic, Eduardo and his horse arrived in Belgium in 2005. They spent the next three years riding across Europe, before arriving in Greece.

After sailing from Greece, the travellers arrived in Israel, where their journey was halted in 2009 by political trouble. The duo had ridden 35.000 kilometres (21,700 miles).
