The Long Riders' Guild

From the Baltic to the Black Sea

In 2011 a team of Lithuanians decided to ride Žemaitukai horses on a special equestrian journey from the Baltic to the Black Sea.
The Long Riders followed the route used by Lithuania’s national hero, King Vytautas the Great. Their journey took them through three of the countries which were part of the Grand Duchy, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine. A special article entitled “Lithuania’s Riding Renaissance” recounts this special trip.
