From the Guild’s emphasis on the philosophy of exploration, to the obvious regard for science and literature, to the conscious effort to develop community and offer assistance: it is for these things that I have great appreciation and respect for the LRG and its members. And, of course, it’s about the horses. I have been in the equine world for nearly a decade and have always felt like an outsider in all the various horse “circles”. That is until I found the LRG. I haven’t met hardly any of you in person but I feel like I have found my people. It seems that though Long Riders all come from diverse backgrounds, they love horses in the same way that I do. "
